Behavioral Health - Remote in ND - Nursing & Medical InformaticistThe Behavioral Health Division is seeking a Nursing and Medical Informatics team member to help us transform the way care is delivered to our patients through strategic design of the electronic health record. As part of the Quality & Technical Services team, this position will play an integral role in continuous improvement processes, which may include the analysis of data, business process, root cause, and performance gaps. The individual in this position will serve as a liaison between Electronic Health Record (EHR) users and technical support teams, including NDIT and other vendors, and therefore, requires deep understanding and knowledge of both the business processes and technical solutions. As part of a cross-functional team, this position will be responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.As a Nursing & Medical Informaticist, you will:Document and maintain statewide and clinical business process flows and continuously review to identify and reduce or eliminate non-value added activitiesIdentify issues and concerns within clinical practice workflow and processes and define system and process requirements that will optimize system performance and technology utilization by nursing and medical practitioners.Interpret and evaluate highly complex data and determine action necessary to align with medical best practices in both clinical and facility settings; accreditation, licensure, or certification requirements, and strategic initiativesCollaborate with leadership and quality management team members to identify and prioritize EHR quality improvement opportunitiesFacilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or QI methodologiesFacilitate statewide change management processes, including identification of organizational readiness for change and development of training plans, training aides and communication strategies to facilitate change.To be successful in this position, you are:An effective communicatorA critical thinker who is able to work both independently and collaborativelyAble to manage multiple competing deadlinesSkilled in using data to inform decision makingProficient in all Microsoft Office applicationsTo be considered for this position, you are required to have:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study; current licensure as an RN, NP, or PA; and 3 years of experience leading groups or teams.
