North Dakota State Hospital - Jamestown, ND - Custodian **Sign on Bonus for new hires up to $2,500**Limited Weekend Work! Day Shift Hours: Monday - Friday (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) Weekend rotation once every 9 weeks! Occasional holidays.Evening Shift Hours: Monday - Friday (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) Weekend rotation once every 9 weeks! Occasional holidays. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The position may be filled prior to the listed closing date after successful completion of the application and interview process.As a Custodian you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and performing a wide variety of custodial functions which maintains a clean, safe environment for people served and employees at the North Dakota State Hospital.Observe established safety rules, practices, and procedures in working with the chemicals, hazardous materials, and equipment commonly used.Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub all floor surfaces.Perform cleanup of spills and stains as they occur.Maintain a schedule of all required duties.Sanitize restrooms; collect and dispose of waste material.Clean and polish all mirrors, fixtures, and furniture.Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of all cleaning supplies.Monitor the environment and report pertinent safety or sanitation information to appropriate staff.To be considered for this position, you must be able to follow directions and safety instructions. Preference will be given to applicants with one year of custodial or facility maintenance experience with tasks such as vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing restrooms and fixtures, etc. Must be able to transport and operate machines with a weight of approximately 60 lbs. such as floor scrubbers and significant rotational direction such as floor buffers. Must be able to lift or move boxes and/or furniture with weight of up to 60 lbs.
