Career Description




Starting Salary: $5,158/month+ depending on experience, with up to a 5% increase after completion of the probationary period. You will primarily conduct examinations for collection agencies through on-site and off-site visits. You may be cross trained to do examinations in other areas of the non-depository division, such as payday lenders. The examinations will include a risk-scoping analysis and pre-examination review to determine areas of emphasis. You will perform detailed analyses of entities for compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and adherence to regulatory guidelines and industry standards. You will assess effectiveness of internal controls, policies and procedures, management oversight, and regulatory compliance. You will also prepare examination reports and assign ratings, outlining deficiencies, and make recommendations. You will also coordinate or share information with other state or federal regulators. This position requires minimum travel, which may include one week per year for out-of-state for training. The option to telework with one day per week in the office is available after initial training is complete. Must live in the Bismarck/Mandan area. We will consider someone with Collections Agency experience living in Fargo. To be considered for this position you must have a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional level work experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis, up to two years. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in collections.
