Career Description
The Unemployment Insurance Division of Job Service ND is initiating a multi-year computer system replacement project, known as "Unemployment Insurance Modernization." We're seeking dedicated Unemployment Insurance (UI) Generalists to play a crucial role in supporting our Unemployment Insurance Program. This role will encompass a range of responsibilities, with a primary focus in the areas of tax liability and compliance for employers, claimant eligibility for benefits, benefit overpayments, and collections. Additionally, the UI Generalists may be required to contribute to project-related tasks, including data entry.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with a dynamic team to enhance the Unemployment Insurance Program.Evaluate tax liability and compliance issues for employers.Assess claimant eligibility for benefits and address benefit overpayments and collections.Assist in various project-related tasks, including data entry and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have the following experience/education combination:a high school diploma or equivalent plusat least four (4) years of experience working in claims processing, insurance, payroll, customer service management or related functions. Related college-level course work may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
