Statewide Human Service Center - Remote in ND - Accounts Receivable SupervisorPlay a key role in optimizing revenue cycle management, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and enhancing client and provider satisfaction in the newly created role of Accounts Receivable Supervisor with ND Health and Human Services.As an Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will lead a team of billing specialists, overseeing the accurate and efficient processing of medical billing and claims for institutional and professional services at Human Service Centers and State Hospitals. You will manage the entire billing cycle, from charge capture to claims submission, payment posting, and resolution of denials. Additionally, you will work with insurance payers to appeal and overturn denials while continuously optimizing processes to maximize collections. You will monitor team progress, assign workloads based on capacity and complexity, and ensure tasks are prioritized to meet performance goals. You will also contribute to developing policies and procedures to ensure timely and accurate claims filing according to payor guidelines. You will provide feedback, set development goals, and hold your team accountable for meeting objectives.To thrive in this position, you must demonstrate accountability for both you and your team. You should be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others. A proactive mindset, taking ownership of tasks and projects-even when faced with challenges-is crucial. You will be assertive in making recommendations and communicating clearly at all levels. Additionally, you will need excellent problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of both governmental and non-governmental insurance requirements. Your ability to monitor performance, optimize processes, and drive operational efficiency will be essential for success.To be considered for the Accounts Receivable Supervisor position, you must have the following:A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Finance, or related field (additional work experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis)2 years of experience in revenue cycle healthcare billing, with a focus on claims and accounts receivable1 year of supervisory experienceProficiency with relevant technology including healthcare management software and electronic health care records (EHR), medical coding, billing software and healthcare reimbursement processes.Location: This position may work from home within North Dakota or bordering cities. Candidates outside of North Dakota must be willing to relocate to the state.
