Economic Assistance - Remote/ND - Housing Stability CoachThis is a temporary position.North Dakota Health and Human Services is seeking a Housing Stability Coach to provide wrap-around support and coaching to households approved for benefits as well as share and connect individuals to other services in order to stabilize homes.As a Housing Stability Coach, you will assist applicants in navigating the application process for economic assistance and other benefit programs that may be available. You will conduct visits and assessments of applicant's housing needs and preferences, identify and address barriers to housing stability, develop and implement strategies to find suitable housing options. In addition to providing one-on-one coaching, you will develop household budgets and assign educational workshops and training sessions for applicants on housing-related topics.To succeed in this position, you should have a person-centered approach, open mind and ability to connect the dots in sharing resources. You should be an active listener, hearing concerns and active finding solutions. You should be highly organized, able to manage your time and priorities effectively and have demonstrated ability to convey information accurately and thoroughly via telephone and email with a diverse population. You will be required to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely in conversation and through written correspondence. You should have great attention to detail and be able to work with technology.In a home/remote work environment, you will need to establish and maintain an organized work environment and successfully manage time in an unpredictable and rapidly changing priorities.
