Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in education or related discipline. At least two years' experience working within an LMS. A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. At least two years' experience designing and virtualizing curriculum and content. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Strong planning skills, vision, and creative intelligence. Ability to think independently, exercise initiative, collaborate on resolution strategies, and effectively implement solutions. Thorough and applied understanding of state standards and the alignment process. Evaluation and assessment skills, including collecting and using data on student and instructional performance to drive curricular improvement. Supports NDCDE's mission and can model its values.

Preferred Qualifications

A master's degree in curriculum design. Additional post-secondary training in curriculum design or a related area. Experience with HTML5 and other web-based languages preferred. Experience teaching virtually and applying best practices in virtual instruction.

Surveillance & Data Management Unit - Remote/within the US - Substance Use Data AnalystJoin a team of public health professionals working to identify health risks in North Dakota. The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Surveillance & Data Management Unit is seeking a Data Analyst III to join their team in serving the state. As the Data Analyst III, you will serve as the point person for all substance use surveillance. You will be responsible for the collection and abstraction of drug overdose deaths while also supporting the ND Violent Death Reporting Program during data closeout periods. You will also provide program evaluation and general epidemiological support to the Medical Marijuana Program. You will work with section team members in developing and maintaining data dashboards to promote efficient flow of information to the Division of Public Health and to the public. You will provide technical assistance and training to division staff as necessary. You will also monitor and apply for new state-funding opportunities as they become available. Each day, you will work alongside the Surveillance & Data Management director and team members, Health Statistics & Performance section team members, key partners, and the state epidemiologist to coordinate various substance use surveillance activities statewide. While not exhaustive, some of the duties you will be asked to do will include maintaining a working knowledge of data requests and changes for your key program areas, conduct data quality assurance activities, and assist with the completion of programmatic closeout reports. Additionally, you may be asked to create and disseminate surveillance results in the form of written reports, presentations, web-based formats, press releases, and publications. You will participate in workgroup meetings, programmatic trainings and other conferences as needed. This position will collaborate with a variety of internal and external programs and partners and therefore the roles and responsibilities may change in order to address current priorities and upcoming surveillance needs.
