The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide In Home and Foster Care case management to children and families in Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone (Barnes & Stutsman Counties). You may also be required to provide these services in other zones. This will include: Providing case management and foster care services to families utilizing the Safety Framework Practice Model and the FRAME computer systemProvide crisis intervention as needed to maintain family stabilityAttend requested training or other staff development opportunitiesBe on call for emergencies on a rotation basisMaintain open communication with other agency staff and other service providersRefer children and families to other agency services such as prime time childcare, respite services, financial services, and parent aide servicesProvide transportation for clients

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, elementary education, early childhood education, special education, child development and family science, human resource management (human service track), or criminal justice, and two years of professional human services work experiences as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A Master's degree in one of the areas above may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement. If no qualified applicants are found, we will consider under-filling this position as a Family Service Specialist I - with a minimum salary of $3508.00 per month. Minimum qualifications require a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, elementary education, early childhood education, special education, child development and family science, human resource management (human service track), or criminal justice, and one year of professional human services work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager; or a Master's degree in one of the areas above. Individuals may be required to work non-traditional work hours. The ability to visit persons in their own homes and providing transportation for clients using the employee's own transportation is required for this position. A criminal background check and a driver's record check will be performed prior to employment.This position requires proof of adequate vehicle insurance
