Public Health Disease Control - Remote within Eastern ND - Immunization Quality Improvement CoordinatorPlay a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program and Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers (IQIP) initiative in Eastern North Dakota.As a Quality Improvement Coordinator, you travel extensively to clinics and hospitals, conducting assessments and providing guidance to healthcare providers on compliance with the VFC program guidelines. You will develop corrective action plans, facilitate training on vaccine storage and handling, and collaborate with providers to enhance immunization rates. The Quality Improvement Coordinator will also provide educational visits and work with clinics to improve immunization rates.To thrive in this position, you must be able to work independently with minimal direction, adeptly juggling multiple priorities under pressure while adhering to deadlines, learn a complicated immunization schedule and federal program requirements. Effective communication skills are essential, enabling you to articulate information clearly and concisely, tailored to diverse audience needs. You should be capable of managing and executing projects within specified timelines, supported by strong teamwork abilities to foster collaborative success. Additionally, you possess interpersonal finesse, cultural sensitivity, and a knack for identifying and resolving problems.To be considered for the Quality Improvement Coordinator position, you must have a bachelor's degree in community health, public health, nursing, business, public administration or a related field AND one (1) year of experience in a health-related field. A master's degree may be substituted for the experience. Expertise in immunization, health surveying/auditing, quality improvement implementation or health education is preferred.This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
