We are seeking a Custodian to join our Facilities Management team at the Office of Management and Budget. The Facility Management division is responsible for the maintenance, repair, renovation, construction, and custodial services for the Capitol Complex located on Boulevard Avenue in Bismarck.To succeed in this position, you will be highly organized, able to manage your time and priorities with a team effectively and provide outstanding service to all patrons of the state of North Dakota.This position is 25 hours per week with working hours between 5:00 PM and 1:00 AM Monday through Friday. This is a non-benefitted position. The duties of this position include but are not limited to cleaning floor surfaces; bathrooms and fixtures; empty wastebaskets; sorting and disposing of materials according to recyclable/non-recyclable; maintaining adequate supply levels in storage and restrooms. As well as dusting windows, shelves, files, and other office areas and washing windows, walls, and woodwork.To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.Requires the ability to perform, under minimal supervision, the activities necessary for maintenance and cleaning tasks, including lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds, and interpersonal skills to work within close proximity to other team members in the work areas.Requires successful completion of the interview process, reference checks, and background checks.Working with the Office of Management and BudgetThe North Dakota Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is responsible for providing innovative leadership and support to state government. We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our Fiscal Division team, providing responsive and knowledgeable guidance to OMB stakeholders.The key responsibilities of an Accounting Manager include: Fiscal Management and Accounting: Oversee accounting functions for OMB's Fiscal and HRMS divisions, including tracking spreadsheets, authorizing payments, monthly reconciliations, and monitoring budgets.Legislative Appropriation and Budget Oversight: Prepare and monitor legislative appropriation budgets, including tracking Emergency Commission requests and preparing general fund reports (e.g., turn backs and cash certifications). Make appropriation adjustments, complete agency transfers, and prepare reclassification journals for prior biennium voids.Policy Guidance and Training: Provide guidance to state agencies on OMB Fiscal policies, appropriation, compliance, and accounting procedures. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist with preparing the Annual State Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), including worksheets and schedules for Budget and Actual Detail and Budgetary Comparison Schedules.Payroll and Cost Allocation Processes: Run cost allocation processes, correct payroll journals, and handle time distribution, GL interfaces, and payroll distributions to projects. To succeed in this position, you should have experience with government accounting principles, legislative appropriations, financial reporting, and familiarity with fiscal year-end and biennium-end processing. You must have effective communication skills to present complex financial information clearly. You also need strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.To be considered for this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or a related field and four years of professional accounting work experience, one of which must have included professional accounting in a supervisory capacity. Location: Bismarck, ND Salary Range: $7,000-$9,200 month
