Essential function of this position are to help ensure all children who need child welfare services have a safe and secure environment. Grand Forks County Human Service Zone is seeking a Child Protection worker for the Child protection Service Unit.As a Child Protection worker, you will be assigned reports of child abuse/neglect for assessment. A master's degree in one of the above areas may substitute for the work experience requirement.If not qualified Family Services Specialist II applicants are found, we will consider filling this position as a Family Services Specialist I (SC7004), with an annual starting salary of $49,356.52. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.In this Emergency Services overnight position, you will conduct crisis stabilization or therapeutic intervention, provide supportive therapy to mitigate crisis situations, develop safety plans for individuals at risk, and assist individuals in obtaining appropriate services, either within or outside agency.
