We are seeking a Custodian to join our Facilities Management team at the Office of Management and Budget. The Facility Management division is responsible for the maintenance, repair, renovation, construction, and custodial services for the Capitol Complex located on Boulevard Avenue in Bismarck.To succeed in this position, you will be highly organized, able to manage your time and priorities with a team effectively and provide outstanding service to all patrons of the state of North Dakota.This position is 25 hours per week with working hours between 5:00 PM and 1:00 AM Monday through Friday. This is a non-benefitted position. The duties of this position include but are not limited to cleaning floor surfaces; bathrooms and fixtures; empty wastebaskets; sorting and disposing of materials according to recyclable/non-recyclable; maintaining adequate supply levels in storage and restrooms. As well as dusting windows, shelves, files, and other office areas and washing windows, walls, and woodwork.To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.Requires the ability to perform, under minimal supervision, the activities necessary for maintenance and cleaning tasks, including lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds, and interpersonal skills to work within close proximity to other team members in the work areas.Requires successful completion of the interview process, reference checks, and background checks.Working with the Office of Management and BudgetThe North Dakota Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is responsible for providing innovative leadership and support to state government. Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:Requires six (6) years of work experience in the operation and maintenance of a complex physical plant. The experience must have included substantial responsibilities for preventive and special maintenance of facilities, equipment and grounds, custodial services, onsite review and coordination of contractor projects, interpreting blueprints, building plans and estimating costs. Requires familiarity with building codes, the handling of infectious and hazardous materials and related regulations, or similar duties related to physical plant operations. Two years of the work experience must have included responsibility for scheduling and lead work or supervision of other staff. Up to three years of college-level course work in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis. The incumbent requires a high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate positive interactions with co-workers, customers, suppliers and the public. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, must possess a valid ND driver's license and the ability to report within 20 minutes of the complex. Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks and background investigation are required.
