As an Equipment Operator, you will perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance. This includes operating heavy equipment to perform required maintenance duties like basic snow and ice control/removal. CADD Editing duties consist of producing standardized CADD layouts of preliminary survey data, gathering relevant data and resources from various sources including field technicians, consultants, and utility companies, and creating digital terrain models. The role requires adherence to NDDOT CADD standards in plan production, performing quality control checks for accuracy and consistency and maintaining daily documentation files on production events.LiDAR and Photogrammetric responsibilities include developing and utilizing techniques to process LiDAR point cloud data, creating, and implementing classification techniques for multiple sources of LiDAR, and generating preliminary survey topography graphics and surface generation. The role includes collecting preliminary survey data from aerial imagery using a stereo soft-copy workstation and performing various photogrammetric operations such as stereo compilation, image creation and manipulation, analytical triangulation, and ortho-rectified mosaic production. Stereo vision acuity is a requirement for this responsibility. UAS operations involve implementing mission planning to ensure project scope is met efficiently, utilizing UAVs and sensor payloads to collect field data for preliminary surveys, and processing GNSS and IMU data to create accurate trajectories. The role also includes post-processing raw data to produce quality LiDAR point cloud files, as well as creating and maintaining related documents and manuals.This role involves continuous training to develop and refine accuracy and efficiency while maintaining documentation that outlines the procedures for creating preliminary survey production files for NDDOT projects.

The Account Budget Specialist in our Financial Management Division is responsible for various programs/Peoplesoft Modules that are time sensitive and require both analytical and computer technical skills. You will provide compliance review for ADA/PROWAG plans. The ideal person for this position will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills and attention to detail with previous experience in using a Computer Aided Drafting and Design Program (CADD). Update ADA Transition Plan and assist in compliance reviews on plans for the department.Maintain Standard Drawings to ensure compliance with ADA/PROWAG.Respond to questions from public on ADA/PROWAG compliance.Assist in projects assigned to section or division. Review or assist to prepare multiple preliminary engineering studies and environmental reports and incorporate into project design.Coordinate work with other divisions and districts. Assist in developing plans, reports, and design in accordance with department's policies and practices.Assist in any plans that need created for Utility Coordination efforts. Technical support for multiple consultant and district project developmentServe as the project administrator between consultants, the department, and other agencies.Provide expertise in transportation engineering and guidance on NDDOT policies and procedures.Review consultant contract scope of work and subsequent billings statements for accuracy.Technical review of consultant delivered products.Monitor project progress to ensure project delivery timeline and activities are completed on schedule and within budget.

Minimum Qualifications

As our new Transportation Engineer III, you will need a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other applicable engineering degree, four years of professional-level engineering work experience, successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, and a class D driver's license for travel to meetings and project locations.Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and reference check.

As an Equipment Operator, you will perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance. This includes operating heavy equipment to perform required maintenance duties like basic snow and ice control/removal. You will complete highway maintenance duties, which include assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails. To complete these tasks and others assigned, you will operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties. Part of this job is to keep the roadways clear of any hazards, this includes litter, waste, debris, garbage, and carcasses.You will complete building and ground maintenance duties, and general routine maintenance of the roadway and radio system equipment. You will also perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Maintain necessary paperwork, including time records, activity reporting, daily diary, road reports, etc. You will receive training and perform construction project duties under close supervision.An important part of this position and the culture at the NDDOT is to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your coworkers and others.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered as an Equipment Operator II, you must have a valid North Dakota Class A driver license without air brake restrictions and a cargo tank endorsement (N) by the first day of work. In addition, two years of relevant experience or one year of experience and one season of winter operations similar to NDDOT.To be considered as an Equipment Operator I, you must have a valid North Dakota Class B driver license without air brake restrictions.If unable to find a candidate with preferred experience, will consider filling this position as an Equipment Operator in Training, which requires a valid North Dakota Class A driver permit without air brake restrictions and a cargo tank endorsement (N) by the first day of work. As a Transportation Engineer Manager Team Lead you will Provide engineering oversite on all construction projects in the Minot District and keep the ADE & DE informed of progress on all projects. Oversee all plan development within the District.Primary Duties Include:Office Management and RecordingIn this role, you will maintain knowledge of department procedures and policies related to construction administration, verify mathematical calculations and unit usage on daily inspection reports, and ensure accurate final documentation of project quantities.
