Responsible for the management of the Conservation Section staff and program delivery within the Department's Conservation and Communications division. This includes supervision of a team of conservation biologists. Develop program budgets for the section and monitor spending. Oversee management of rare and declining species in the state to include development and implementation of the State Wildlife Action Plan and associated habitat programs, research projects, survey/monitoring efforts, and necessary conservation and contingency measures. Supervise Department's environmental review of development projects having potential to impact the state wildlife resource. Minimum Qualifications

Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in wildlife management/conservation, natural resource management/conservation, environmental science, biology, or another closely related natural resource or environmental related discipline and five years of professional work experience in these areas. At least two year's work experience must have included personnel supervision, conservation program management, and/or budgetary oversight. This position requires extensive knowledge of natural resource conservation, as well as have experience in people management, conservation program responsibility, conflict resolution, and/or budget oversight. Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to balance different interests. Applicant must be extremely self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others, solve problems, resolve conflict, and respond quickly to make many independent decisions. Applicant must be highly organized, have well-developed interpersonal skills, and experience with a diverse group of people. Must be able to work under stress, remain calm, and maintain focus under demanding and conflicting work schedules with rapid shifts in priority. The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center highlights some of the area's most famous of countless travelers and residents over hundreds of years along this special stretch of the Missouri River. The Driller Assistant performs a wide variety of duties as the assistant to the Well Driller on a two-person drill crew. The primary responsibilities are to assist in the completion of observation wells and test holes in meeting the mission of the Department. Drill work consists of completing test holes and 2-inch diameter observation wells that typically range in depth from 20 feet to 320 feet, with occasional wells completed at greater depths. The drill work is completed throughout the state of North Dakota requiring significant travel during the drilling season that generally occurs from May through October.

The position is located at the North Dakota Heritage Center and State Museum in beautiful Bismarck, ND.The Assistant Registrar is a full-time position. This professional works closely with and reports to the Head of Curatorial Services on daily operations related to the production and management of artifact collections records. The Training and Communications Specialist for the Gaming Division within the Office of Attorney General is responsible for developing and conducting training with the charitable gaming organizations throughout the state both in-person and online. This position will also maintain state recordkeeping forms, the gaming website, press releases, legislative tracking of gaming bills, newsletters, and email communications to gaming manufacturers, distributors, and organizations.
